Manga: "Aoi Hana Chapter 34"

Manga Synopsis: Fumi and Akira were best friends when they were little, with Akira always looking after the crybaby Fumi, but that all ended when Fumi's family moved away. Several years later, Fumi's family returned, and she and Akira happened to bump into each other on their way to school. They became friends again, quickly slipping back into old patterns. Shortly after, Fumi began dating a cool, attractive upperclassman who, coincidentally enough, had ties to Akira's current school, the prestigious Fujigatani Girls' Academy.

This is one of my favorite Yuri mangas. The character Yumi looks a lot like Sumika from Sasameki Koto, another Yuri manga, although their personalities are very very different. There are some awkward moments in the story, but overall I think its very good. Chapter 34 just came out, so here are my views on it.

Soooo, Chapter 33 ended when they were still at the inn, and I thought that maybe Akira was realizing she had feelings for Fumi too. The story resumes on chapter 34 where they're back at home, and Akira and her mom are visiting at Fumi's, and she ends up staying the night. At first I thought it would be the same, Akira feeling embarrassed or uncomfortable that her friend liked her that way, and the chapter ends surprisingly with Akira asking Fumi to go on a date.

Can't wait for the next chapter! I'm glad Akira is giving Fumi a chance and that it goes well for both of them.
